Intended learning outcomes

Provide the students, future engineers integrated in the civil construction sector, the indispensable knowledge related to the technological aspects of construction, namely:

  1. Introduction to BIM methodologies. It is intended to create the concept of global work through its early organization from conception (project), job preparation, manufacturing (production), planning, handling, assembly, connections, quality and costs.
  2. Design, modeling, preliminary design and execution of LSF structures.
  3. Understanding of the technical aspects related to the selection and application of precast concrete elements in construction.
  4. Knowledge of the construction technologies with reinforced concrete and wood. Acquisition of competences to choose the most adequate solutions for each case, considering all the constraints.
  5. Comprehension of the technical aspects regarding solid wood and industrialized wood in structural elements.
